Baked Camembert with White Wine, Garlic and Thyme
This is really the ultimate dish to enjoy over Christmas, it's ridiculously easy and it's probably the most delicious thing ever! All that gooey cheese with freshly baked bread, could you really want anything else?! It's perfect for these days between Christmas and New Year, I actually don't have anything else to say about it apart from make it immediately!
1 whole camembert, in it's wooden box
2 springs of thyme
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
Bread, to serve
Preheat the oven to 200C.
Remove any plastic/paper packaging from the camembert and pop it back in the wooden box.
Using a small sharp knife make half a dozen slits in the camembert and then stuff these slits with the garlic and some thyme. Sprinkle the remaining thyme over the top and drizzle a little white wine.
Place the camembert on a baking tray or in a cheese baker and pop in the oven for around 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Don't worry if some of the cheese leaks out.
While the camembert is cooking prepare the bread to your liking, I'm using a crusty sour dough bloomer cut into thick slices of heaven!
Serve the cheese in it's box and get dunking, it won't be around for long!
